LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

ProItUp Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“ProItUp Optics”) stands behind the quality of its optics. Our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers eligible ProItUp Optics products against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser, subject to the terms below.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Built for adventure. Backed for your lifetime.

1. What “Lifetime” Means

“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the original individual purchaser, for as long as that person remains the owner of the product.
This warranty is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable. It ends when the product is sold, donated, inherited or otherwise permanently transferred to another owner. Registration in the original purchaser’s name does not extend coverage to a subsequent owner.
Temporary lending does not transfer ownership, although all conditions and exclusions continue to apply.

2. Eligible Products

This warranty applies only to genuine ProItUp Optics products expressly advertised or supplied with the ProItUp Optics Limited Lifetime Warranty and purchased new directly from ProItUp Optics or an authorised retailer in South Africa.
Accessories, electronic components, batteries and products supplied with a separate warranty are covered only by the warranty expressly stated for those items.
For a product purchased as a gift, the first recipient may be recorded as the original owner when registering the product, supported by the original purchase documentation. Lifetime coverage is available to individual owners; purchases by companies or other legal entities require separately agreed warranty terms.

3. What Is Covered

We cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during normal use in accordance with the product’s instructions and specifications.
Covered defects may include:
•    Failure of a component resulting from defective material or manufacture.
•    Faulty assembly or manufacturing defects affecting optical performance.
•    Failure of focusing mechanisms, eyecups or other integral components caused by a manufacturing defect.
•    Failure of factory seals or waterproofing caused by a manufacturing defect, provided the product has been used within its stated water-resistance rating.
A component breaking does not automatically establish a manufacturing defect. We will assess the cause of the failure fairly and consider the product’s condition and circumstances of use.

4. What Is Not Covered

This Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover:
•    Accidental damage, including damage caused by dropping, impact, crushing or transport.
•    Misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage or failure to follow care instructions.
•    Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration that does not arise from a manufacturing defect.
•    Scratched lenses or damaged coatings caused by abrasive cleaning, unsuitable chemicals or improper handling.
•    Water damage caused by use beyond the product’s stated rating or by damage to its housing or seals.
•    Damage caused by fire, extreme heat, chemicals or other external events.
•    Loss, theft or missing detachable parts.
•    Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications or dismantling.
•    A disclosed defect specifically accepted at purchase, to the extent permitted by law.
An exclusion applies only to the extent that it caused or contributed to the claimed failure. Unrelated damage does not automatically invalidate an otherwise valid claim.

5. Registration and Proof of Purchase

Please register your product with ProItUp Optics after purchase and retain your receipt or invoice.
Registration records should include the owner’s name, contact details, product model, serial number where applicable, retailer and purchase date.
To assess a claim, we may request reasonable evidence of purchase, product eligibility and original ownership. Registration alone is not proof of purchase. Failure to register does not remove statutory consumer rights or automatically exclude an eligible claim where purchase and ownership can otherwise be reasonably verified.

6. South African Coverage

This warranty is offered for eligible products purchased in South Africa. Warranty assessment, repairs and replacements are administered through ProItUp Optics’ designated service arrangements in South Africa.
Taking or using your product outside South Africa does not, by itself, cancel this warranty. However, ProItUp Optics does not undertake to provide overseas collection, repairs or replacement delivery under this voluntary warranty.
Customers outside South Africa must contact ProItUp Optics to agree return arrangements before sending a product. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, international transport, customs duties and related charges are the customer’s responsibility.

7. How to Claim

Contact ProItUp Optics through the support details published on our official website, or contact the authorised retailer from which you purchased the product.
Please provide:
•    Your proof of purchase and contact details.
•    The product model and serial number, where applicable.
•    A description of the fault and when it arose.
•    Photographs or video where these may assist assessment.
We will explain the assessment and return process. Products must be packaged securely, and customers should avoid further use where this may worsen the fault.
Prior return arrangements help us process claims efficiently and do not restrict statutory return rights.

8. Repair or Replacement

For an approved claim under this voluntary lifetime warranty, ProItUp Optics will repair the defective product or replace it with the same model or a product of reasonably equivalent function and quality, without charging for the covered parts or labour.
If repair or equivalent replacement is unavailable, we will agree an appropriate alternative remedy with the customer.
Repairs and replacements remain covered for the remainder of the original purchaser’s lifetime while they retain ownership, subject to these terms. A replacement does not create a transferable warranty.
Where consumer legislation gives the customer a choice of remedy, that statutory choice takes precedence.

9. Assessment, Costs and Communication

ProItUp Optics will assess claims within a reasonable period and communicate the outcome. If a claim is declined, we will explain the reason.
ProItUp Optics will arrange and pay reasonable standard transport within South Africa for approved warranty claims. Where the claim falls outside this warranty, any proposed assessment fee, repair cost or transport charge will be disclosed and agreed before it is incurred.
No paid repair will be carried out without the customer’s approval.

10. Your Consumer Rights

This Limited Lifetime Warranty is an additional undertaking by ProItUp Optics. It does not exclude, restrict or replace rights or remedies available under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable law.
Its ownership conditions, territorial provisions, exclusions and claim procedures apply to the voluntary lifetime benefit only and cannot override mandatory consumer rights.

11. Existing Warranties and Policy Changes

This warranty applies to products expressly sold with this benefit from its published commencement date.
Products previously sold with a different warranty retain the warranty promised at the time of purchase unless ProItUp Optics expressly extends this benefit to them in writing.
Changes to this policy will not retrospectively reduce the warranty benefits attached to an existing eligible purchase.
